Free Love Poem

A free love poem saves the day! This is the story of Bob's free love poem to Susan.

Free Love Poem

Bill and Susie had been married for almost seven years when they found out they were expecting their first child--children actually. The sonogram revealed twins! After the twins were born, Bill wanted to do something special for Susie that she would remember forever, but he needed ideas. That's when his friend Shane suggested a love poem.

Aren't Diamonds A Girl's Best Friend?

After Bill and Susie's twins were born, his friend Shane came to visit them in the hospital. When he was leaving, Bill walked out with Shane and told him that he'd like to do something special for Susie.

"Get her a diamond necklace. Girls love diamonds," Shane said.

"I thought about that, but it's so typical and impersonal," Bill said.

"Yeah, but she'd still love it," Shane said,

"I might still do that. But I've heard of so many guys doing that. It wouldn't be...unique," Bill said.

"So write her a special poem to go with it. Make it look really fancy and stuff," Shane said.

"That's a great idea Shane, but there's one small problem. I can't write poetry!" Bill exclaimed.

"No problem. Go online. The Internet is full of free love poems. Just type free love poem in Google and see what you can find. I did that for Heather once," Shane said.

"You guys are divorced now," Bill said.

"Yeah, but not because of that. I did it for Sabrina too. In fact, when I proposed, I started out by reciting a free love poem I found online. She thought it was a 'creative and touching way to express my love.'" Shane said.

"A free love poem, eh? Maybe I'll try to find one."

And with that, Bill went online to find the perfect free love poem to express his love for Susie. And the free love poem is what she remembered as much as the diamond necklace.
